Carbonstop attended annual Summit on Ecological Design and Green Manufacturing of Industrial Products in China 2018

On December 1, the “Annual Summit on Ecological Design and Green Manufacturing of Industrial Products in China 2018”, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Beijing Association of Green Design and Green Manufacturing Promotion (GDGM), was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the “Carbon Footprint Domestic and Foreign Progress Research Report (2018)”, which was prepared by Carbonstop, was successfully released, providing important suggestions and references for the government and enterprises. At the same time, Carbonstop was invited to participate in the National Ecological (Green) Design Pilot Demonstration Enterprise Creation Experience Exchange Symposium when GDGM signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Carbonstop, Lenovo, and Beijing University of Technology to jointly promote the construction of green manufacturing system and further coopete with the parties in green development. 

With the theme of “ecological (green) design, green manufacturing, and green growth”, the annual summit focused on the trends, policies and innovations of China's industrial green development in 2018, and explored technologies and methods for green design and manufacturing of product life cycle. Different parties communicated and shared experience on policy development and practices in green design and manufacturing. Meanwhile, the awarding ceremony for GDGM as the joint part of “National Engineering Laboratory for Industrial Big Data Application Technology”, and the launching ceremony of the “Advanced Design and Additive Manufacturing Skills Talent Certification Cooperation Project”, which is promoted by the Ministry of Education, were held. Ren Shuben, Director of the Department of Natural Resources Development of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Nie Yiren, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Vice President of Beijing University of Technology, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Nie Yiren pointed out that facing the world’s green development trend, it is imperative to accelerate the green development of the manufacturing industry and promote industrial transformation and upgrading.
