On novenmber 19, 2019, under the guidance of Center for Environmental Education and Communications of Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Service Center of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, the first Community Waste Management Forum was launched in Chengdu. More than 200 people from more than 100 government institutions, social organizations, enterprises and media, who concerned about community waste management issues across the country, participated in the forum's sharing and opinion exchange. Academician Du Xiangyi, who proposed "no waste city", expert in applied physics, high-power laser technology and energy strategy, and Dr. Jane Goodall, an internationally famous zoologist and conservationist, also attended the forum as a special guest and delivered a keynote speech.

Luhui Yan, CEO of Carbonstop was invited to participate in Parallel Forum V: Public Education and Education, and shared the topic of carbon emission reduction for waste sorting and treatment. Yan Luhui introduced the basic principles of waste classification and the corresponding carbon emission calculation and the analysis of the carbon emission reduction results of sustainable waste treatment for the participants of the forum, and introduced a mini-program of "carbon calculator for waste sorting".

Carbonstop had calculated carbon emission reductions of garbage sorting in the Xishan garden in cooperation with Vanke Foundation The results show that one year's emission reduction is equivalent to 155 days less driving when using black soldier fly to treat food waste; one year's emission reduction is equivalent to 158 days less driving when using garden waste composting; one year's emission reduction is equivalent to 6 days less driving when conducting waste classification.

With the support of Vanke foundation, carbonstop had developed a carbon calculator focus on garbage sorting. Through automatic quantification, we can help people calculate the carbon footprint or reductions of their actions to change the lifestyle and achieve low-carbon community.
