Recently, Carbonstop was commissioned by the Humana People to People to develop a mini-program for the pilot project of low-carbon schools in Yunnan Province. At present, it has successfully signed a contract and entered the development stage. In order to better utilize science, technology and innovation to promote climate action and environmental sustainability, the low carbon mini program developed by the project will educate 70,000 teachers and students in Yunnan about carbon footprint estimation, measurement and climate change, as well as promoting individual behavior changes to reduce carbon emissions. It is expected to be available to the public in the future. At present, Carbonstop are under intensive development and are expected to be completed and put online in the first quarter of this year.   Project background Over the past two decades, China's urban population has more than doubled, and greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption, transport and waste have all increased. As one of the world's largest emitters of greenhouse gases, China is a key player in the fight against global climate change and its effects, but many people have yet to grasp the seriousness of climate change. In response to this challenge, the Chinese central government has explicitly required governments at all levels to measure and control carbon emissions. When president Xi Jinping visited Yunnan Province in January 2015, he stressed that "we must protect the ecological environment as we protect our eyes, and resolutely protect Yunnan's clear waters, blue mountains, blue sky and white clouds." At the same time, it clearly put forward the requirements of building Yunnan into the vanguard of national ecological civilization construction. On May 12, 2020, the Third Session of the 13th People's Congress of Yunnan Province adopted the Regulations on Promoting the Vanguard of the Construction of Ecological Civilization in Yunnan Province, in which addressing climate change is the main content of the construction of ecological civilization. The response to climate change in yunnan province planning (2016-2020), "clearly put forward in promoting the construction of low carbon pilot province of yunnan province, built a number of different characteristics in yunnan, the typical demonstration significance of low carbon cities and towns, low carbon campus, low carbon transport, low carbon building, to promote a batch of good effects of carbon reduction of low-carbon technologies, products and experience model. The International Federation of Love for People (Switzerland) Yunnan Representative Office has been cooperating with the Yunnan Institute of Science and Technology Information under the Provincial Science and Technology Department for four years, and has implemented a project to reduce carbon emissions from paddy fields in Xudian County, Kunming City. We have been paying close attention to global sustainable development issues and hope to support and participate in Yunnan Province's dream of "building a pioneer in ecological civilization construction" by integrating advanced international concepts and experience. In order to realize the construction of ecological civilization, in addition to ecological civilization education, we must take some concrete measures to achieve the goal of sustainable development. These include enhancing the public's awareness of low-carbon life, strengthening energy conservation and substitution, improving the efficiency of resource utilization, and improving the system and physical construction.   Project purpose The project will raise awareness of climate change in 500 schools and 70,000 students and teachers over a period of four years, take steps to baseline school emissions and then implement mitigation plans. Among them, the project will also support 50 low-carbon pioneer schools to develop emission reduction plans to reduce emissions by 15%.     Project activities Schools’ work The CMD Center conducts physical field emission estimates for 50 low-carbon pioneer schools. 500 schools submits emissions estimates by the APP. Two hundred teachers receives training on climate change mitigation. The Low Carbon Pioneer School takes new measures to reduce carbon emissions (such as reducing energy use, reducing waste, scientifically separating waste, managing chemical waste, reducing the use of disposable items, having meatless days, reducing air travel, etc.).     Students and teachers’ work Conducting baseline surveys and to master students' and teachers' understanding of climate change. The Emission Investigation Team supports the University Logistics Department. Student interest groups/clubs to participate in the study and promotion of low-carbon life. Raise 70,000 students' awareness and awareness of

I. Background: National Carbon Neutralization Strategy and Shanghai Carbon Summit Target To be carbon neutral by 2060 is a key goal set by the top leaders in 2020. At the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 22, 2020, Xi Jinping announced that China will increase its nationally determined contributions, adopt more powerful policies and measures, strive to reach the peak of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. At the UN Biodiversity Summit on September 30, 2020, Xi Jinping reaffirmed China's carbon peak and carbon neutral goals. ..................... On January 25, 2021, in his special address at the World Economic Forum's Davos Agenda, President Xi Jinping said: I have announced that China aims to achieve a peak in carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and a carbon-neutral goal by 2060. To achieve this goal, China needs to make extremely arduous efforts. We believe that as long as it is for the benefit of mankind, China should be duty-bound to do and do well. China is working on an action plan and has begun to take concrete measures to ensure the realization of the set goals. In just five months, the general secretary mentioned carbon neutrality eight times. In January 2021, Shanghai proposed a carbon peak target.  On January 14, 2021, the Press Hall of Shanghai Municipal held a press conference to introduce the completion of the 13th Five-Year Plan for ecological and environmental protection and the planning ideas for the 14th Five-Year Plan. Cheng Peng, head of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, said the city will aim to peak its carbon emissions by 2025. In other words, the national goal is to reach a carbon peak by 2030, and Shanghai is set to do so five years ahead of the national target.   II. Interpretation of national carbon emission reduction policy: Carbonstop’s speech at Microsoft Center of Excellence for Sustainable Development Series Yan Luhui, founder and CEO of Carbonstop, delivered a speech at Microsoft (China) headquarters in Shanghai, China, Jan 22, 2018. Carbonstop has created a series of sustainable applications such as Vanke Waste Classification Carbon Calculator, Green Meeting.   III, Prizes to answer  After the speech, there was a competition for prizes. Participants were divided into six teams to answer questions and compete for the prize. Topic content revolves around the theme of sustainable development and low carbon environmental protection, including not only Microsoft's sustainable development goals, but also waste classification, product carbon footprint, etc.   IV. "Microsoft Sustainable Development Recommended Partner" In recognition of Carbonstop' support for the "Microsoft Power, Sustainable Future" campaign, Carbonstop was awarded the Microsoft Sustainability Recommended Partner Award by Microsoft. Achieving carbon neutrality by 2060 will require extremely arduous efforts in China. Microsoft has announced that it plans to go carbon negative by 2030; Carbonstopl's other business partners -- Starbucks, Alibaba, Baidu, Vanke, etc. -- have also put forward or will put forward their own sustainable development goals. In 2021, Carbonstop is willing to work with a growing number of influential companies and institutions to enable sustainable development.
