On October 18, 2020, Mr. Yan Luhui, CEO of Carbonstop, was invited to give a speech at TED Countdown Hangzhou, where he gave a detailed presentation on climate change and carbon emissions. In addition, Carbonstop also measured the carbon emissions of the TED event and assisted in carbon neutrality, which was announced at the event. The power of low carbon needs to be gathered together to become more, and also needs the common efforts of the public. I hope our voice can influence more people to take active actions.

About the Countdown

Countdown is a collaborative initiative launched by TED and Future Stewards to tackle global climate change and mitigate the worst impacts of climate change. Countdown works with partners from C40 Cities Group, the Climate Reality Project and others. On October 10, 2020, TED launched Countdown, a global teleconnect, to hear from the world's leading thinkers and actors to map out the future of healthy, green, zero emissions, and green energy.

Called Countdown, it aims to advocate and promote a solution to the climate crisis. Many thought leaders and activists participated. This is the time to act. They will map out a healthy, rich, zero-emission future and turn that vision into action. Countdown is one of a number of initiatives and events this fall, including Bloomberg Green Festival and Climate Week NYC, all with the common goal of informing and motivating the general public in the run-up to the successful United Nations Climate Change Conference in November 2021.

TEDx Hangzhou responded to the call of TED Countdown by working with Beijing Entrepreneurs Environmental Protection Foundation to carry out the "Carbon Neutral" project. In order to encourage people to reduce carbon emissions, increase carbon absorption. The "carbon storage" required for this event was provided by the Beijing Entrepreneur Environmental Protection Foundation, and Carbonstop was also invited for accounting and certification.
