On July 16, 2019, the Green Supply Chain Action of Real Estate (Green Chain Action) held the "Green List" project launch meeting in Beijing. Under the premise of promoting the environmental compliance of real estate supply chain enterprises, the Green List project proposed two higher requirements: improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. On the basis of the scope and basis of the White List, Green List needs to be launched. At this meeting, the Green Chain Initiative officially launched the Green List project. The meeting brought together representatives from the government, industry associations, technical support agencies, public welfare organizations, real estate enterprises and suppliers to discuss the current situation, difficulties and needs of real estate suppliers in implementing energy efficiency improvement and carbon reduction. The meeting participants also put forward plans and suggestions for the project and held open discussions. Relevant studies show that China currently accounts for about 20% of global carbon emissions, of which nearly 40% are generated by the real estate and construction industries. As a result, in the global carbon emissions, China's real estate and construction industries account for about 8%, which has huge carbon emission reduction potential. To this end, the Green Chain Action has stricter requirements of carbon emission reduction and energy efficiency improvement on the basis of the white list requirements for pollution compliance, and launched the "Green List". What does the Green List needs to do? We will select the supply chain enterprises that meet the green definition and have excellent performance in energy saving and emission reduction to enter the "green list" and get the priority purchase of real estate enterprises. We want: Establish the evaluation rules of "Green List" and form "Green List" through screening. Promote real estate enterprises to make priority purchases in accordance with the "Green List"; Provide technical support to real estate enterprises and supplier enterprises in capacity building; Through the "Green List" mechanism, the Green Chain Action will promote real estate and upstream supply chain enterprises to turn huge carbon emission reduction potential into strong strength, and contribute to China's and even the world's carbon emission reduction goals. Green list frame for action In the next two years, the Green List project plans to work from baseline survey, compilation and certification of Green List evaluation rules, selection of Green List, carbon verification of enterprises themselves, carbon target setting, professional training, action plan, technical support, writing typical cases and analysis reports. Secondly, to establish the threshold mechanism of green list and determine the inclusion conditions and principles. Thirdly, to do basic industry work, to formulate the intensity of carbon emissions, to implement the demonstration project of product carbon footprint, and to disclose carbon information. Fourth, we may try to use a simple and easy-to-use software to let real estate enterprises calculate and manage their own carbon emissions. Fifthly, we can build a green index system of supply chain in the real estate industry, which is easy to replicate in the future.

Carbonstop calculated carbon emission reductions of garbage sorting in Xishantingyuan, this project was funded by VANKE Foundation. Garbage sorting can effectively reduce amount of waste disposal, less land-use of landfill and pollutants of incineration. and also increase the use of recycled materials. From May to July, the 2019 Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) was launched, and Carbonstop continued to provide carbon management services, including annual carbon emissions accounting and ISO14064 verification assistance, energy conservation and emission reduction target formulation, corporate climate change risk and opportunity analysis, and supply chain questionnaire filling to supply chain enterprises. on July 12 2019, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform released the “Lvrongbao”, a comprehensive service platform for small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of energy conservation services. Carbonstop developed the platform for Beijing Association to Promote Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection. The platform aims to achieve smoothly connection within corporations, the government, banks and guarantee organizations,and meet the financing requirement of small and medium-sized enterprises. This mini-program has two main parts: find funds and find projects. "Find funds" section has loan policies and rules issued by various banks. "Find projects" section includes corporation introduction and project characteristics of these enterprises. “Lvrongbao” can intelligently match funds and projects. For enterprises, as long as the project information is available in the mini-program, the platform can match some relevant funds providers--banks. It would be time-saving and efficient. In addition, it can also achieve energy-saving policies at the city and district levels, energy conservation subsidies (reward) projects, and fund information sharing. Using the Internet and mobile communication technologies, information is able to be transmitted with stakeholders so that the efficiency can be improved.

According to ISO-14064 standard, the calculation focus on all the sources and stages to ensure that the information of the results can reliably and truly reflect the greenhouse gas emission situation of enterprises. Corporation's carbon footprint usually refers to the total carbon emissions of an enterprise, including direct and indirect total greenhouse gas emissions such as energy consumption, production stage, transportation process, etc. The accounting and measurement of enterprise carbon footprint can not only reflect the level of greenhouse gas emissions of an enterprise, but also be helpful to identify customized measures to reduce the GHG emissions. According to ISO-14064 standard, this accounting mainly carries out the analysis, calculation and verification of greenhouse gas emission sources in different stages to ensure that the results can reliably and truly reflect the greenhouse gas emission situation of enterprises.
