“2019 energy-saving monopoly game” Carbonstop report

National energy conservation center and related organization jointly launched “energy-saving monopoly game”. It encouraged the public to learn energy conservation knowledge and gave electric appliance for the winners. Luhui Yan was invited to attend China plastic bags conference

Before the 2019 world environment day, Plastic recycling chapter of CSRSSA (China Synthetic Resin Supply and Sales Association) and new observation of plastic waste jointly held the China Plastic Bags Conference on 31 May 2019. This conference was hosted by Plastic recycling chapter secretary of CSRSSA-- Nanqing Jiang. Representatives and experts from the UN, international organizations, NGOs, corporations and industry associations were invited to share and discuss latest development, plans and actions, international conventions and measures to ban plastic. Wang Wang, the vice secretary of Plastic recycling chapter under CSRSSA, emphasized that the responsibility of plastic bags should include production, consumption,banning, reduction, recycling, reuse, replacement, management and operation. The comparison between plastic bags and other replacement should take life cycle assessment into consideration. Different management path has different impact on plastic bags's LCA. Luhui Yan, CEO of carbonstop presented that plastic bags has less carbon emission than paper bags or biodegradable bags, and they have different environmental impacts.

Carbonstop and celebrities jointly contributed to 2019 "Earth Hour"

"Connect to earth" is the 2019 theme of "Earth Hour" movement. “Earth Hour” is initially proposed by WWF to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Every last Saturday of March, people use no light and other unnecessary electric devices for an hour to support environmental action. On 30th March 2019, many individuals, communities, corporations and governments were volunteer to switch off their lights for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30, which encourages people to think about environmental conservation and response for protecting the earth. "Connect to earth" photo show and switch off ceremony was held in Olympics tower. Carbonstop was invited to attend the ceremony. More importantly, the T-shirts many stars wore were from incomrecycle（盈创）-- one of carbonstop's partner. The t-shirts were from recycled PET bottles and carbonstop calculated the carbon emission reductions of the t-shirts. Liangying Zhang, Yuyan Peng and Weizhou Xu these celebrity voluneers wore the T-shirt. Carbonstop has calculated carbon emission reductions of t-shirts, polo shirts and bags.

Carbonstop developed Nan Ao zero carbon + mini program

To create an eco-friendly Nan Ao Island, Nan Ao county Government invited carbonstop to develop Nan Ao zero carbon + mini-program. The main goal of this project is promoting low-carbon tourism. All the low-carbon actions, such as using shared bicycle and electricity vehicles, will be recorded in the system. These actions become credits interms of their carbon emission reductions, and then tourists can use these credits to redeem gifts or coupons. Local government always put environmental protection and conservation at first place. Their "blue bay" project is famous and got financial support from national government.

Carbonstop calculated its 2018 annual carbon emission and achieved carbon neutrality

On 13th March 2018, carbonstop calculated its 2018 annual carbon emission and achieved carbon neutrality by plant trees in ant forest and purchased CCER project. The carbon emissions include purchased electricity, employees' commuting and traveling. The most significant emission source was traveling. In addition, this report suggested some mitigation measures, such as low0carbon transport, green office and energy conservation with a emission reduction goal for next year. Corporations can identify its opportunities for carbon reduction only when they have sufficient understanding of their own GHG emission source. Carbonsto, as a leading company in carbon emission management field, have the social responsibility to manage our own carbon footprint. Both carbon reduction measures and carbon offsetting can become one of our CSR actions. Meanwhile, these actions contributing to mitigate the impact of climate change.
